Could you be a Martini tester? 🍸

DesignMyNight is recruiting for what it calls the world’s first professional Martini tester, sending one person on a tour of five London venues to review serves across the capital.

On the surface, it is a brilliant bit of drinks PR. Timely, fun, easy to understand and built around a drink that is showing up everywhere.

At The Egerton House Hotel, the Vesper Martini now represents eight out of 10 Martinis ordered, while Martinis overall account for 70% of all bar sales. Hawksmoor Martini Bar has sold 30,184 Martinis in eight months, around 137 a day. At Archive & Myth, its Martini Minéraux accounts for 61% of all Martini orders.

The interesting bit is how DesignMyNight has taken its own booking and ordering data, matched it with what is happening across the bar world, and turned a clear cultural shift into a consumer-facing story.
For drinks brands and hospitality platforms, that feels like the sweet spot: data gives you the reason to speak, but the creative hook gives people a reason to care.
