Running the Fulham 10k with Nuun Hydration
By Jessica Bottomley - On a chilly Sunday morning, I joined the Nuun Hydration team for its final RunThrough sponsored race of 2025. And this time, I was physically running it - my first ever official race, in my home borough.
I've fallen in love with running over the past few years, but even with 10ks already under my belt, I wasn't prepared for how emotional it would be. It's cheesy but the strangers' handmade signs, cheers, shared grit and adrenaline nearly had me in tears (but probably helped me hit that PB).
Balancing the functional and emotional sides of running has been central to our PR work with Nuun this year. Yes, the product supports the practical side - hydration, recovery, performance - but the motivation behind the miles often comes from somewhere deeper.
From (borderline superhuman) sub-30 finishers to 10k first-timers of all ages, the Fulham 10k event showcased running as one of the most inclusive sports. Our brand ambassador, Milly Pickles, competing with her blade and championing accessibility in sport, embodied that ethos brilliantly.
