Is a tea resurgence brewing? ☕️
There must be something in the kettle – we’ve spotted not one, not two, but three different surveys pointing to Gen Z’s growing love for tea this week:
Amazon’s Chatterbox report revealed that 52% of under-28s now prefer tea to coffee, driven by taste, wellness trends, and the rising cost of coffee.
Guide Dog’s for the Blind - Make Every Cuppa Count campaign found that 42% of Gen Z choose tea over alcohol when stressed – with tea parties becoming the go-to social ritual.
Nationwide’s new report shows that 56% of 16–24-year-olds have used a teapot in the last week – a nod to tradition in a modern context.
Tea appears to no longer be just a comforting classic; it’s becoming a symbol of conscious connection, cultural crossover and everyday rituals.
From morning brews to winding down, Gen Z is helping redefine how – and why – we drink tea. Even the teapot, long thought lost to the back of the cupboard, is being dusted off and brought back into daily use.
